JForum (also known as JForum2) is a powerful forum software built as a Java web app. It is localized in numerous languages, and only needs a Servlet 3.1 compatible servlet container running on Java 8, and one of a variety of databases to run on. It is open source licensed under the BSD, and lives on SourceForge.

A build for JakartaEE 10 and up is available on Github. It requires a Servlet 6.0 compatible servlet container (like Tomcat 10.1) running on Java 11. The feature set is identical to JForum 2.8.3, plus some not-yet-released fixes and enhancements mentioned here. This version hasn't been tested a extensively as the release version, so let us know your experiences with it.
